Japanese Black Inked Porcelain Sake Set - 5pcs

When I pulled this set out of the package, I just marveled at the stunning beauty of the designs on these cups. They are even more gorgeous in person than the picture had prepared me for. I bought these to replace a set of engraved Japanese sake cups my parents bought in Chinatown, California shortly before I was born and which my husband keeps dropping and shattering. These were a bit smaller, but so absolutely gorgeous that I don’t care. Even the box they come in is so lovely and high quality that even though I’m usually the kind of guy who throws away boxes once I open them, I decided to keep the box and keep them in it. plus, this is helping to deter my husband from using them (and breaking them). I bought these and a few other dishes (all of them high quality and fabulous) from Merae because I’m an artist and so I wanted to support actual Japanese artists, even if the cost was higher than it might be for a Walmart or Amazon product, so I was very pleased to see that each dish
said it was made in Japan, had stickers of authenticity, and so forth, to prove my purchase really did support the artist and the persons crafting the products. Also, I live off the grid in a remote part of California and I received my order within only a few days! I also reached out to customer service with a question and they helped me right away and were super friendly. I will definitely be buying from Merae again in the future and getting gifts for friends and family from them too!
